The last few weeks have been mad and a couple of nights instead of beavering away in my attic (which is my studio and hideaway) I've found mhyself falling asleep on the sofa! However, after a late start today, I've got my latest batch of orders in the oven...plus...some new Christmas Decorations and new dog brooches. I was lucky enough to snaffle (is that a word?) up some wonderful cutters in one of my favourite local shops last week and combined with some stamps I found at the bottom of one of my numerous drawers, I'm hoping they'll turn out fab!
Last Friday, I attended the North West Women's Enterprise Event in the heart of Cheshire which was truly inspirational. I got to hear the Olympian Diane Modahl speak...she has amazing arms!!! I also met a couple of ladies from the Girl Guiding Association which was really lovely. I was a Brownie, a Guide, a Ranger and a Brownie and Guide Leader in my youth and I think it's true to say...once a Girl Guide, always a Girl Guide. However, there was a fantastic speaker who instilled in us that we were all fabulous but also said "you are what you eat", in which case on Tuesday I was a Manchester Tart!!!
I was at the Craft Street Fayre for the second time on Saturday, it's a new local craft fair for local people...in our local shopping centre. They did some filming the first time and I was lucky to be featured in it...check me out (I was making holly earrings, which are available from all my events coming up to Christmas)
